Association of Ukrainian Cities is the All-Ukrainian association of local governments that was founded in 1992 and unites 1002 municipalities where more than 90% of Ukrainian population lives.
Association of Ukrainian Cities has its offices in each region of Ukraine that continue to function even on temporarily occupied territories.
Association of Ukrainian Cities is a powerful analytic centre, the driving force of the reforms that expresses the position of local governance in dialogue with the Ukrainian Government, Parliament and Office of the President of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Council of Europe, Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, Council of European Municipalities and Regions, European Committee of Regions and other international partners.
During the war in Ukraine, Association of Ukrainian Cities continues to provide municipalities with classic services, as well as humanitarian aid, support for families with children. It has also started to work towards restoring all municipalities.

Every day Association of Ukrainian Cities works on releasing the abducted mayors. Since February 2022, 35 mayors have been abducted, 5 of them are still in captivity.
